大草島
북한 라선시의 섬. 바리에이션으로 북쪽에 소초도도 있다.
면적 4.342㎢로 동해에서 울릉도, 마양도에 이어 세 번째로 넓은 섬이자 함경북도 최대의 섬이다. 라진항을 보호하는 천연의 방파제 역할을 하고 있다. 석기시대의 유적지 또한 발견된 바 있다.
최고점은 초도산(233m)이다. 섬 남단에는 광달(光達)거리가 30㎞를 넘는 대초도등대가 있다.
