1. 개요

조종사 훈련에 오신 것을 환영합니다. 강력한 An-225에서 사랑스러운 Piper Cub에 이르기까지 다양한 항공기를 조종 할 수 있습니다.


Orange12345가 2010년에 제작한 Roblox의 비행 시뮬레이션이다.

Roblox의 비행 시뮬레이션 게임 중 최장수 게임이며 꾸준한 업데이트로 유저들이 5K 정도로 많은 편이다.[3][4]업데이트 간격이 약 한달에서 두 달인데 너무 길지도 짧지도 않아, 계속 플레이하기엔 좋다. 옆동네 게임 FLIGHTLINE보단 기술이 좋지 않지만 꾸준한 업데이트, 다양한 기체, 다양한 항공사 도장이 큰 특징으로 꼽히는 Roblox의 고전겜.

게임 이름이 길어 유저들과 제작진들은 간단하게 PTFS (Pilot Training Flight Simulator)라 부른다.

게임 패스를 구매해야 사용할 수 있는 것을 제외하곤 누구나 무료로 기장이 될 수 있으며, 로비 화면에서 원하는 공항이나 비행장을 고른 후, 기체를 스폰한 뒤 미션을 선택해 이륙하여 비행하고 다른 공항에 착륙하여 미션을 클리어하는 방법이 대부분이다. 미션의 유뮤는 강제성이 없으며 미션 없이 땅바닥이나 원하는 공항에 착륙해도 괜찮다.[24]

9. 문제점


PTFS는 지속적인 업데이트를 통해 콘텐츠가 추가되고 있으나, 일부 이용자들 사이에서는 몇 가지 문제점이 지적되고 있다. (타 로블록스 비행 시뮬레이션과 비교하여 문제점을 꼽아봤다.)

1. 물리엔진 문제
본 게임의 물리엔진은 타 로블록스 비행 시뮬레이션에 비하면 단순한 수준에 머물러 있다. 예를 들어 기체가 선회하거나 상승, 하강할 때 관성의 표현이 아예 없다시피 하고, 모바일의 경우엔 조작감이 매우 딱딱하다.

이륙 시엔 항공기의 정해진 일정 속도에 도달해야만 이륙을 할 수 있다. (이륙 속도 미만인 경우 항공기가 아예 뜨지 못한다.)

또한 스로틀 반응 역시 현실과 차이가 있다는 지적이 존재한다. 실제 항공기는 엔진 종류에 따라 출력 변화에 걸리는 시간이 다르며, 특히 대형 제트 여객기의 경우 스로틀 조작 후 엔진 출력이 서서히 증가한다. 반면 본 게임에서는 기체 대부분이 스로틀 입력에 비교적 즉각적으로 반응하여 엔진의 무게감이나 출력 변화 과정이 단순하게 표현되어 있고 이로 인해 속도 유지가 어렵다.

2. 그래픽, 퀄리티 문제
본 게임의 그래픽은 Roblox 플랫폼의 한계로 인해 전반적으로 단순한 편이다. 최근 업데이트를 통해 일부 기체와 공항의 모델링 품질이 개선되었으나, 여전히 다른 비행 시뮬레이션 게임과 비교하면 부족하다는 평가가 존재한다.

특히 지형과 환경의 디테일이 낮은 편이며, 건물과 지형지물이 단순한 파트 모델로 구성되어 있다. 또한 구름, 조명, 그림자 등의 시각 효과 역시 현실성을 중시하는 비행 시뮬레이션 게임들에 비해 제한적이다.

기체 외부 모델은 비교적 양호한 평가를 받기도 하지만, 일부 기체의 조종석과 내부 모델링은 단순하게 구현되어 있다. 이로 인해 현실적인 비행 경험을 중요하게 생각하는 사용자들에게는 아쉬운 요소로 지적된다.

다만 이는 Roblox 플랫폼 기반 게임이라는 특성상 다양한 기기에서 원활한 성능을 확보하기 위한 선택으로 볼 수 있으며, 저사양 환경에서도 비교적 쉽게 플레이할 수 있다는 장점도 존재한다.

3. 부족한 항공기 기능 구현
본 게임은 접근성이 높은 게임이지만, 항공기에 사용되는 단순한 기능들도 일부 생략되어 있다.

오토파일럿인 경우, 본 게임에서는 고도 유지 기능만을 취급하고 있다. 또한 이 기능을 킨 상태에서는 선회 등이 불가하다. 그리고 사용자가 원하는 고도로 설정할 수 없다는 것도 단점이다.

항공기의 스타트업 절차도 대부분 생략되어 있다. 예를 들어 실제로는 엔진을 키기 위해 엔진을 순차적으로 키고 (다른 절차는 제외, 중요한 엔진 시동만 포함한다.) 엔진 출력이 정상이 될 때까지 기다려야 한다. 하지만 본 게임은 엔진을 키기 위해서는 단 한 개의 키를 눌러야 하고 엔진은 0.5초 내외로 켜진다.

4. 비매너 유저
PTFS라는 게임은 접근성이 높아 대부분 연령대가 낮아 비매너 유저가 대체로 있는 편이다. 예를 들어 사람들이 자주 구매하지 않는 유료 항공기를 주기장에 생성해 두고 가는 비매너 유저가 있기도 한다. 하지만 요즘은 꽤 사라진 편이긴 하다.

10. 아이템

24년 11월 23일 업데이트로 기존에 있던 아이템에서 6개가 더 추가되었다. 왼쪽 아래에 있는 화살표 버튼을 누르고 'RP Itemes'버튼을 눌러 확인할 수 있다.

12. 미션

갓 시작한 뉴비들은 공항의 위치를 모를 테니 쓸만한 기능이다. 미션의 종류로 대표적인 것들을 말하자면, 선택한 공항에 착륙복행 하기, 이륙 하기, 착륙 하기등이 있다. 하지만 현재는 알 수 없는 이유로 미션이 없어졌다가 5월 21일 업데이트로 미션이 생겼다.

하는 방법은 화면 하단 왼쪽의 화살표 버튼을 누르고 'Missions'버튼을 누른다. 그리고 목적지를 선택하고 목적지를 선택해 초록색 화살표를 따라 비행한다[44]


미션 완료 시 다음과 같은 표시가 뜬다.
