This locomotive of the Great Northern Railway (America)
seen outside the Pusan railway workshops was presented to the K.N.R. in 1954. A plaque on the right hand side not visible in the photograph carries the American and the Korean flags and the inscription "Donated to the American Korean Foundation to help rebuild Korea".

이 기관차는 미국 그레이트 노던 철도 소속입니다.
부산 철도 정비창 외부에 있던 이 기관차 1954년 대한민국 철도청에 기증되었습니다. 사진에는 보이지 않지만 오른쪽에는 미국과 한국 국기가 그려진 명판과 "한국 재건을 돕기 위해 한미재단에 기증함"이라는 문구가 새겨져 있습니다.

미국의 2-8-0형 증기기관차.
1901년에 도입되었으며 1939년부터 1954년까지 모든 차량들이 퇴역했고, 최초로 도입된 1130호는 한국전쟁 휴전 이후인 1954년, 한국에 기증됐다.
Erie 2524호와 달리 차호 개정 없이 1130호 그대로 사용 한 것으로 보인다.
