1. 개요

버추어스는 싱가포르에 본사를 둔 비주얼 디지털 컨텐츠 및 서비스를 개발하는 회사로 2004년에 설립했다. 싱가포르에 본사와 연구 개발 센터를 두고 있으며, 상하이, 청도, 시안, 호치민, 파리, 리옹, 더블린, 로스엔젤레스, 몬트리얼 8개 도시에 개발 스튜디오와 서울, 도쿄, 샌프란시스코, 밴쿠버에 사무소가 있다.

순수 단일 외부 개발사로는 드물게 3,500명 이상의 정규직 개발자와 아티스트들을 보유하고 있다. 2,000개 이상의 타이틀들에 참여한 것으로 홈페이지에 기재되어 있다. 주로 콘솔, PC를 주력으로 한 AAA급 게임들과 VR 프로젝트 그리고 블록버스터 영화들의 아트 및 개발을 돕고 있다. 많은 클래식 게임의 리마스터, 이식 등을 맡기도 했으며 세계 게임 개발 회사들의 신규 게임 개발 작업에도 참여하고 있다. 또한 여러개의 AAA타이틀들에서 E2E 서비스(컨셉, 3D, 애니메이션, VFX, 엔진통합)서비스를 제공해오고 있어 기획안, 예산, 방향성을 결정해줄 소규모의 디렉터급 인력만을 투입하는 것으로 대규모 게임 타이틀 제작이 가능하게 지원하고 있다.
