2. 여담

멤버들의 YG엔터테인먼트 입사 순서는 제니(2010년 8월) → 리사(2011년 4월) → 지수(2011년 7월) → 로제(2012년 5월)순이다.

YG엔터테인먼트에서 2NE1 데뷔 이후 약 7년 만에 데뷔시킨 걸그룹이다.[1]

BLACKPINK를 블핑이나 젠츄리챙[2] 이라고 부르기도 한다.

팀 인사가 따로 없으며, 데뷔 전 인사말을 넣으려고 시도했으나 어울리지 않아서 하지 않기로 했다고 밝혔다.

대부분의 인터뷰는 언니 라인인 지수와 제니가, 영어 인터뷰와 수상 소감은 로제가 맡는다. V LIVE 채널 플러스에 따르면 우승소감은 가위바위보로 정한다고 한다.

데뷔 전이었던 2013년에 애프터 어스 영화 홍보차 내한했던 윌 스미스, 제이든 스미스 부자가 구 YG사옥에 놀러왔고 그 앞에서 춤을 보여 주었다고 한다.

대부분의 블랙핑크 노래에는 "BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA" 또는 "BLACKPINK IS THE REVOLUTION"이 가사에 들어가는데, 블랙핑크를 상징하는 시그니처 사운드이자 캐치프레이즈라고 할 수 있다.[3]

멤버 제니가 오버워치를 한다는 사실이 V LIVE 플러스를 통해 밝혀졌다! 그래서 팬들과의 댓글에서도 심심찮게 찾아볼 수 있다. 블랙핑크 V LIVE 채널플러스 지수는 오버워치와 메이플스토리, 배틀그라운드를 한다는 사실까지 인증했다! 실제로 블랙핑크의 리얼리티인 블핑하우스에서 지수가 스팀으로 배틀그라운드를 깔고 있는 모습이 살짝 나온다. 리사도 어쌔신 크리드를 즐기는 모양이다. ~~그러면서 블핑하우스에서 리사는 쿠키런을 하는 지수에게 쓸데없는 거 한다고 디스했다.~~

멤버 전원이 자국 기준으로 빠른년생이며 1분기[4]에 태어났다. 지수와 제니는 1월 출생, 로제는 2월 출생[5], 리사는 3월 출생이며 태국은 5월 학기제라서 5월 이전 출생자까지 빠른 년생이다.[6] 그리고 멤버들의 나이 순과 생월일이 똑같다.[7]

활동명에 받침과 "ㅇ"이 들어가는 멤버가 한 명도 없다.

불장난의 끌 수 없어 부분의 춤이 멤버마다 다 다르다. 불장난 "끌수없어" 안무가 애들마다 다르다는 것을 알고 있냐

지수와 제니가 플라잉 요가를 했었고, 지금은 각자 운동한다. 제니, 로제, 리사는 필라테스를 하며, 지수는 본인 피셜 따로 운동은 하진 않는다고 했고, 필요시에 그때 그때 맞춰 하고 싶은 운동을 하는 편이라고 했다.

각종 커뮤니티에서 무대 의상이 예쁘다는 말을 자주 듣는다. 멤버들도 의상을 훌륭히 소화한다. 또한 멤버들 모두 사복 패션센스가 뛰어나 많은 주목을 받는다.

'마지막처럼' 엔딩이 뮤직 비디오에 나온 것처럼 손으로 'L.O.V.E' 를 만드는 포즈였으나 막판에 YG가 손키스로 하자고 해서 교체했다고 한다. ~~정형돈: L.O.V.E가 나은데.~~ 하지만 무대를 할 수록 엔딩을 다양하게 바꾸면서 팬들을 심쿵시켰다.

마지막처럼 곡 발매 이후 라디오 활동을 시작했다. 6월 26일 데뷔 첫 라디오인 이국주의 영스트리트를 시작으로 8월 1일 현재까지 총 9개의 라디오에 출연했다.

블랙핑크의 뮤직비디오는 휘파람과 Stay를 제외하고 전부 서현승 감독이 연출을 맡았다. 휘파람은 조범진 감독 그리고 Stay는 한사민 감독이 연출을 맡았다.

연습생 시절에는 남자 연습생이 연습하는 곳과 여자 연습생이 연습하는 곳을 따로 분류했다. 식사 시간도 교차되어서 남자 연습생과 여자 연습생이 함께 식사하지 못하게 막았다고 한다. 아이돌 그룹이 되어서도 성형수술, 연애 등은 철저히 금지였다고 한다. # #

영화 저스티스 리그의 예고 영상에 마지막처럼 뮤비가 재생되기도 했다. '배트맨' 역을 맡은 배우 벤 애플렉이 의자에 앉아 미간을 찌푸린 채 어딘가를 응시하고 있는데, 그 뒤의 모니터 화면에 마지막처럼 뮤비가 방영된 것이다. 영상의 45초 부근 극 중 플래시 역을 맡은 에즈라 밀러도 BLACKPINK를 좋아한다고 밝혔다. 그리고 본편에도 뮤비가 등장했다.[스포일러]

미드 '더 볼드 타입'에 데뷔곡 '휘파람'이 OST로 삽입되었다.

마지막처럼 활동 이후부터 분홍색의 그룹 전용 커스텀 핸드마이크를 사용하고 있다. 이는 커스텀 마이크의 색상을 데뷔 앨범 커버와 맞추는 YG엔터테인먼트의 전통을 따른 것이다.[9] 또한 각자 솔로 활동 시엔 다른 색의 커스텀 마이크도 사용하고 있다.

2017년 한 해 동안 발표한 음원이 싱글 딱 1곡뿐이다. 인기몰이 중인 신인인데도 불구하고 데뷔 이래로 실사 앨범 한 장 없는 엄청난(?) 작업량에 양현석 나름대로 충격이 컸는지 다음 앨범은 미니앨범이며 이로 인해 시간이 좀 걸린다는 입장을 밝혔다.

하도 공백기간이 길다보니 뚜두뚜두로 컴백했을 때 정말 폭발적인 인기를 얻었는데, 우스갯소리로 팬들이 이 성적을 보고 YG가 또 새로운 기록을 위해서 오래 공백기가 나오는 것이 아닌가 하는 걱정마저 하고 있다. 뚜두뚜두 활동 때는 런닝맨에 지수와 제니가 출연했는데 오죽하면 런닝맨 멤버들이 "블랙핑크 좀 자주 보고 싶다"라고 양현석에게 영상편지를 하게 하는 모습을 보이기도.

유튜브 조회 및 구독자 수에서 알 수 있듯이 해외 팬덤이 어머어마하며 능력자들도 많은 것으로 보인다.

멤버 전원이 동생이 없다. 지수는 오빠와 언니가 있으며 로제는 언니가 있다. 제니와 리사는 외동딸이다.

미니 앨범 1집 SQUARE UP을 발매하는 날 멤버 전원 개인 인스타그램이 생겼다. 오픈한 지 4일만이 멤버 모두 팔로워 수가 300만 명을 넘었다.

유튜브 뮤직비디오 공개 후 첫 24시간 조회수 순위에서 '뚜두뚜두'가 약 3300만대의 조회수로 전 세계 여성 아티스트 중 테일러 스위프트의 'Look what you make me do'에 이어 2위를 차지하게 되었다. 이후 유튜브에 의해 공개된 '뚜두뚜두' 24시간 조회수는 약 3600만대로, K-POP 뮤직비디오 중 가장 많은 24시간 조회수를 기록했다.

2015년 11월 15일 YG 사옥을 지나가던 팬이 노랫소리가 들려 동영상을 찍어 인스타그램에 올렸는데, 사실 그 노래가 Forever Young이었다는 것이 해외 블링크들 사이에서 화제가 되고 있다. 게시글에 의하면 2NE1인 줄 알았으나(당시에 YG 걸그룹은 2NE1 뿐이었으니...) 전혀 들어보지 못한 곡이었다고. KBS 2FM 악동뮤지션 수현의 볼륨을 높여요에서 제니가 Really와 See You Later는 데뷔 초 때부터 갖고 있던 노래라고 한다.

블랙핑크의 노래를 노래방에서 직접 들어보면 알겠지만 정말 많이 부른다. 노래방 유튜브 조회수 기준으로 마지막처럼은[10] 300만뷰가 넘어가고 휘파람[11], 불장난[12], STAY[13], 뚜두뚜두[14], SOLO는[15] 200만뷰, Forever Young[16], Don't Know What To Do[17] How You Like That[18], Lovesick girls는[19] 100만뷰가 넘는다.

K-POP 아티스트 중에 안무 영상 조회수가 가장 많다. 기존에도 뚜두뚜두 안무영상과, Kill This Love 안무영상조회수가 3억뷰를 돌파했을 정도로 최강이었지만[20] 2020년 7월에 업로드 된 How You Like That 안무영상이 기존의 뚜두뚜두, KILL THIS LOVE마저 압도하는 파격적인 조회수 추이를 보이며 2021년 1월 6일 약 6개월만에[21] K-POP 최초로 5억뷰를 돌파했다.[22] 총 11개 안무 영상 모두 1억뷰를 돌파한 상태이다.

2018년 8월, 블랙핑크 오피셜 유튜브 채널 구독자 수가 1000만을 돌파하여 다이아몬드 크리에이터 어워즈에서 K-POP 걸그룹 최초 다이아버튼 을 받았고, 2020년 10월 한국 최초로 5000만 구독자를 넘어서면서 [23] 유튜브 50 Million Award를[24] 받았다.

2018년에 발매된 데뷔 첫 피지컬 앨범인 SQUARE UP이 2019년보다 2020년에 더 많이 팔렸다고 한다.[25]

데뷔 2년만에 일본 투어 콘서트에 이어서 국내 단독 콘서트를 열었다. 이는 블링크가 가장 원했던 것 중 하나로, 11월10일~11일 양일 올림픽 체조 경기장에서 콘서트를 개최했다.

2019년 미국에서 코첼라 아트 앤 페스티벌에 참가한 이후로 미국 내 인지도가 상당히 올랐으며, BTS와 함께 미국에서 가장 알려진 케이팝 그룹으로 통한다. 걸그룹 인지도 역시 세계적으로 독보적이며 많은 인기를 가지고 있다.

빌보드 소셜 50차트에서 걸그룹으로 유일하게 꾸준히 Top 순위권 내에 장기로 진입해 있다.

YG엔터테인먼트측에서 블랙핑크의 전 세계 투어(6개 도시)가 매진되었다는 기사를 냈으나, 이는 사실이 아니라며 매진된 공연이 없다는 기사가 났었지만 사실 본표가 모두 매진되었고 이후 풀린 예매 사이트에 리셀표나 허위매물을 보고 이를 근거로 매진 됐다면서 어떻게 예매가 가능하냐는 대한민국과 다른 미국의 리셀 문화[26]도 모른 수준 떨어지고 매우 악의적인 보도였다. 실제로 이후 투어 데이터에 발표에 따르면 매진이 아니라던 공연이 모두 매진되었고 그 수익 자체도 한 공연으로 1백만 달러를 훌쩍 넘기는 진기록을 세웠다.
런닝맨 525화에서 제니가 로제와 리사는 힘이 상당히 세다고 말했다.~~지수 언니는 바로 뜯길 걸요?~~ 실제로 지석진은 리사와 힘겨루기를 하면서 힘이 왜이렇게 세냐고 했고 로제도 런닝맨 멤버들이 힘겨루기를 하면서 힘이 세다고 했다.

아는 형님에 출연했을 당시 본인들이 각자 아형 멤버 중 누굴 닮았는지를 얘기하며 소개했다.[27]
