1. 개요

경기도 부천시 원미구 길주로 180 현대백화점 U-PLEX 중동점에 위치하고 있다. 2003년 8월 19일 오픈한 공식 15호점이다.

CGV 부천은 8개관 1,326석으로 CINE & FORET, 4DX, SCREENX관을 보유하고 있다.

현재까지 개관 22년을 넘게 유지하고 있다.

2. 상세

부천시청역 현대백화점 중동점의 유플렉스 5층에 위치한 CGV 직영 영화관이다. 5층 대부분의 공간은 유플렉스 쇼핑몰과 식당으로 이루어져 있어서 매표만 5층에서 하고, 상영관은 8개관 모두 6층에 있다.

2019년 후반에 리뉴얼하여 2관은 씨네앤포레로 전환되었고, 7관은 COMFORT SEAT로 전환되었다.

부천 시내의 CGV 중에서는 가장 오래된 지점이다. 올해 기준으로 22년째 운영 중에 있다. 그러나 2005년 역곡점이 개관하기 전까지는 부천시내의 유일한 CGV였다. 2013년 이후부터는 인근에 위치한 부천터미널점(구 프리머스 소풍), 부천역점(구 MAD9, 구 MMC)이 통틀어 개관하면서 이용객이 조금 감축되었지만 그래도 인식은 꽤 좋은 편이다.[2]

부천시에 유일한 SCREENX관이다.

왼쪽과 오른쪽에 나오는 스크린은 도색 등도 없이 그냥 벽에 상영한다. 그래서 양쪽 스크린의 화질이 가운데와 확연히 다르다.
그래도 SCREENX관이지만 용스엑이나 영스엑 등 다른 SCREENX관보다도 가격이 저렴하다.

이후 2026년 4월 20일부터 6월말까지 리뉴얼 후 7월 이후 리클라이너로 전환될 예정이며 화질이 기존보다 개선될 전망이며,
리클라이너로 전환됨에 따라 좌석수도 기존 169석에서 감축될 것으로 보인다.

바로 길 건너 부천종합터미널에 CGV 소풍점이 들어서 있다. 원래 소풍점은 과거 프리머스시네마 부천점이었으나 CGV에 합병되면서 CGV 두 지점이 공존하게 된 것이다. 현재는 부천점이 4DX, SCREENX, CINE&FORET 관객을, 소풍점이 IMAX 관객을 위주로 끌어모으며 공존하고 있다.

매년 10월 말에는 부천국제애니메이션페스티벌의 주요 상영관으로 사용되며, 과거에는 부천국제판타스틱영화제의 상영관으로 활용된 적도 있었다.

[1] 구글 지도API 오류로 간혹 부천역 지점으로 연결된다.[2] 비슷한 예로는 수원 시내의 CGV도 마찬가지였다. 부천점과 같은 해인 2003년 2월에는 수원역점이 개관했었다가 이후 2006년 9월에는 인근의 수원시청역(동수원)점, 북수원점 이 두 군데가 통틀어 개관하면서 이용객이 약간 감축되었음에도 인식은 좋았었다. 그러나 수원역점은 2023년 5월에, 북수원점은 2025년 1월에 영업종료하면서, 현재는 2020년 3월 개관한 광교점까지 이 2군데로 남아있다. 그러나 이 지점들 역시 인식은 꽤나 좋은 편이다. 그러나 최근에는 부천 시내의 CGV 중에서도 지난 6월 24일 부천옥길점이 영업종료되었다.
