2.1.1. 시즌 1 등장인물

  이 두 사람에 대해서는 이곳을 참조.

• 오스카 핀레이 (맬컴 굿윈)
  마그레이브 경찰서 수사과장. 계급은 경감. 사건을 파헤치는 잭 리처와 엮여서 도움을 준다. 초반만해도 외부인인 잭 리처를 신용 못하는 등 앞뒤 꽉 막힌 성격을 보였지만 자신이 보스턴을 떠나 찾아온 마을을 살려주고 있다고 믿었던 재단의 사장 클라이너가 알고보니 자신의 마을을 위조지폐 운송 거점으로 써먹고 있었다는 것을 알아가게 되었고 심지어 시장인 그로버 틸과 마그레이브의 경찰서장까지 마그레이브의 대부분의 높은 직책의 양반들이 전부 클라이너 일가와 한패인 것까지 알게 되면서 잭 리처에게 적극적으로 협력하게 된다.[3] 이후 모든 사건이 종료된 후 경찰을 그만두고 고향이었던 보스턴으로 돌아갈 것이라고 했지만, 시즌 2에서는 은퇴 생활이 생각보다 잘 안 맞는다면서 보스턴 경찰서의 부서장으로 복직한 상태로 잭 리처를 돕는 모습으로 깜짝 게스트 출연했다.[4]

• 로스코 콘클린 (윌라 피츠제럴드)
  마그레이브 경찰서 경사. 사건에 휘말리면서 잭과는 여러모로 가까워진다. 시즌 1 마지막엔 늘 그렇듯 리처와 헤어졌으나, 시즌 2에서 '리처가 신뢰하는 인물'로 잠깐 언급된다.

• 클라이너 주니어 (크리스 웹스터)
  시즌 1의 메인 빌런이자 흑막이자 최종보스로 작중에서 KJ로 불린다. 범죄자인 아버지 클라이너 시니어를 도와 조직을 이끌고 있다.[5] 잭 리처의 형인 조 리처를 죽인 원수.[6] 결국 형의 복수의 대가로 잭 리처에게 흠씬 두들겨 맞고 지폐용 화학용액에 담궈진 뒤 공장 안에 붙은 불이 자기 몸으로 옮겨 붙으면서 인간이 느낄 수 있는 가장 끔찍한 고통 속에 몸부림치다 분사한다.

• 그로버 틸 (브루스 맥길)
  시즌 1의 배경인 마그레이브의 시장. 허나 클라이너 가족과 손 잡고 있었으며 클라이너 시니어가 죽자 그의 아들인 KJ 클라이너에게 붙어먹었다가 로스코에 의해 수갑이 채워진 채 자신이 죽인 그레이의 권총에 의해 머리통이 날아간다.

• 조지프 리처 (크리스토퍼 러셀)
  잭 리처의 형이자 미국 비밀경호국 요원. 시즌 1에서 살해당해서 잭 리처가 형을 죽인 자를 찾기 위해 사건에 뛰어들게 되었다. 시즌 2에서 조와 협력 관계였던 국가안보국의 요원의 말에 따르면 성격이 잭과 크게 다르지 않았던 것으로 보인다. 시즌 1에선 동료인 몰리 베스가 목소리를 착각하기도 했다. 어린 시절의 모습이 비춰지는 걸 보면 서로 여러 모로 많이 닮은 모양.

2.1.2. 원작과의 비교

• 쿠바에서 온 암살자와의 격투 등 액션 장면들이 추가되었다.
• 원작에서는 니글리가 등장하지 않는다. 레귤러 캐릭터로 사용하기 위해 먼저 사용한 셈.
• 원작에서 KJ 클라이너는 최종전 이전에 리처를 죽이기 위해 부하들과 함께 공격했다가 역으로 털려 끔살당하지만 드라마에서는 자기 아버지까지 죽이고 최종보스로 등극한다.
• 극 중 등장하는 어린시절 회상씬은 "No Middle Name"이란 리처 단편 소설에 나오는 내용들이다.

2.2.1. 시즌 2 등장인물

• 셰인 랭스턴 (로버트 패트릭)[7]
  민간 방산업체인 뉴에이지의 보안 책임자이자 전직 NYPD. 그리고 시즌 2의 메인 빌런이자 어떤 이유로 잭 리처의 제 110 특수수사대 시절의 동료들을 죽이고 있는 범인.

• A.M. (퍼디낸드 킹즐리)
  셰인 랭스턴과 손 잡고 있는 또 한 명의 빌런. 여러 개나 되는 신분을 가지고 있다. 실은 중동에서 파견된 무기 브로커로, 랭스턴을 비롯한 부패한 뉴에이지 세력으로부터 몰래 미사일을 구매해 미국 본토에서 테러를 감행할 계획이다. 그러나 거래할 상대방의 얼굴을 몰랐기에 랭스턴을 족치고 거래 장소에 대신 나타난 잭 리처 일행에게 붙들려 벌집이 되어 죽는다.

• 칼라 딕슨 (서린다 스완)
  잭 리처의 제 110 특수수사대 시절 동료. 다른 동료들이 살해당하면서 사건 해결을 위해 나타난다. 현재 기업 리스크 관리자.

• 데이비드 오도넬 (숀 시포스)
  잭 리처의 제 110 특수수사대 시절 동료. 가족이 있으며 변호사이다. 항상 너클과 오토매틱 나이프를 가지고 다닌다.

• 토니 스완 (섀넌 쿡)
  잭 리처의 제 110 특수수사대 시절 동료. 현재 전혀 생각치도 못한 곳에서 일하고 있었다.

• 가타노 "가이" 루소 (도메닉 롬바르도지)
  뉴욕 경찰. 잭 리처의 동료였던 캘빈 프란즈의 살인 사건을 조사하다가 리처 일행하고 엮이게 된다.

2.2.2. 원작과의 비교

• 배경이 LA에서 뉴욕으로 바뀌었다.
• 시즌 1과 마찬가지로 액션 시퀀스가 추가되었다.몇개는 추가 안하는게 더 나을 정도로 엉성한건 함정
• 오도넬은 원작과 달리 기혼자에 자식도 있는 것으로 나온다. 드라마에서도 '네가 결혼할 줄은 몰랐는데' 식으로 언급이 된다. 리처 혼자만 홀몸으로 떠도는 신세라는 것을 부각하기 위한 설정으로 추정된다.
• 흑막의 이름이 라메이슨에서 랭스턴으로 변경되었다. 캐릭터성이나 전체적인 설정은 원작과 큰 차이가 없다.
• 원작에서 AM은 별다른 차질 없이 거래현장에 무사히 도착하나 드라마에서는 자신의 가명이 노출되거나 경찰의 불심검문을 당하는 등 여러 위기가 추가되었고 이를 빠져나가는 과정에서 살인을 거리낌없이 자행한다. 최후도 더 비참해졌는데, 그냥 체포당하는 원작과 달리 리처와 일행들에게 총을 여러발 맞고 살해당한다.
• 원작에서 미사일 설치 기술자는 가족 때문에 협박 당해 이 일에 가담했으나 드라마에서는 음모의 주축인 것으로 묘사되며 마지막엔 미사일을 맞고 폭사당한다.
• 뉴에이지의 사업을 도와준 상원의원 캐릭터[9]는 원작에서 언급만 되는 높으신 분을 바탕으로 창작되었다. 상원의원이 파견한 지원부대가 최종결전을 도와주는 것도 오리지널 요소이며 원작에서는 니글리와 리처 둘이 뉴에이지 본부를 돌파한다. 여담으로 이들은 감히 리처와 니글리를 통수치려다가 역으로 당해 모조리 제압당한다.[10]
• 제 110 특수수사대에 원한을 품을 만한 인물로 9편인 <원샷>[11]에 등장한 제임스 바가 언급된다.[12] 잭 리처가 이를 부정하면서 그는 자신에게 빚을 졌다고 언급하는걸 보면 드라마 상에서도 <원샷>의 사건이 벌어진 모양.[13]
• 과거 파트에서 등장하는 제 110 특수수사대의 마지막 사건은 <네버 고 백>의 흑막이 벌인 마약 밀수 사건을 각색한 것이다.
• 스완이 배신자로 의심받는 것은 드라마의 오리지널 설정이다.
• 루소 형사는 원작에서 브란트 포지션인데 이 사람은 처음에 잭을 방해하고 상관의 지시로 그들에게 거짓 정보를 흘리는 악역이었다. 그렇지만 드라마의 루소 형사는 처음에는 마치 원작처럼 잭을 방해하는 듯한 모습으로 나와[14] 리처에게 얻어 터지는 등 수난을 겪고 부패 경찰이라는 의심을 샀지만, 사실은 전혀 그런 사람이 아니었고 오히려 뇌물을 거절했다가 살해 당한 아버지의 의지를 이어받아 절대로 뇌물을 받지 않는 청렴결백한 경찰이었으며 해당 편의 사건을 개인적으로 수사하던 중이었다. 워낙 부패한 경찰을 많이 봐와서인지 리처는 루소와 협조를 하면서도 오랜 시간 그의 부정을 의심하지만[15] 캘빈 프란즈의 장례식장에서 벌어진 총격전의 사건을 계기로 마침내 오해를 풀고는 진심으로 그를 신뢰하기 시작한다.[16] 그렇게 마지막까지 리처 일행을 돕다가 말로의 딸을 살리기 위해 희생하는 선역으로써 장렬한 최후를 맞이한다.[17]

2.3. 시즌 3

2.3.1. 시즌 3 등장인물

• 프랜시스 재비어 퀸 (브라이언 티)[19]
  과거 중대 군사기밀 유출의 주범이었던 육군 정보부 소속의 중령. 수사 과정에서 잭 리처의 동료들을 죽였다가 잭 리처에게 붙잡히고, 리처를 매수하려 했으나 리처는 절벽으로 그를 데려가 퀸의 권총으로 그의 머리를 쏘아 버린다. 이후 절벽에 떨어져 꼼짝없이 죽은 것으로 생각되었으나 어째서인지 살아서[20] 자신만의 범죄 조직을 만들어 포틀랜드에서 독자적인 범죄 사업을 벌인다.

• 재커리 벡 (앤소니 마이클 홀/Anthony Michael Hall)
  무언가 수상쩍은 양탄자 수입업체 '비자르 바자'의 소유주. 폴리의 상사로 보이지만 실은 실세로 파고든 퀸에 의해 이미 바지사장이 된지 오래다. 자신의 아들을 납치할 위기에서 구해준 리처를 경호원으로 고용한다.

• 리처드 벡 (조니 버치톨드/Johnny Berchtold)
  재커리 벡의 아들. 유악하고 겁이 많은 성격이다. 과거 한차례 납치되어 왼쪽 귀를 잃은 적이 있으며, 이를 역이용해 리처가 그를 위장한 납치 작전에서 구해주면서 벡에게 접근하게 된다.

• 수잔 더피 (소냐 캐시디/Sonya Cassidy)
  DEA요원. 리처를 찾아온 DEA 3인조의 리더. 벡을 추적하고 있으며 이 때문에 퀸에게 개인적 원한이 있는 리처와 협력하게 된다. 이번 시즌에서 가장 많은 비판을 받는 캐릭터로 매 회 등장할 때마다 앵무새처럼 테레사만 찾아댄다. 팀원이 죽어도, 총기단속국 잠복 요원이 살해당해도, 마약도 불법 무기거래도 모두 안중에 없으며 오직 테레사의 안위만이 그녀의 유일한 관심사.
  
  시즌 1의 로스코, 시즌 2의 딕슨 포지션이지만 둘과 다르게 작중 활약은 거의 없다시피 하다. 팀의 신입인 엘리엇의 일처리가 답답하다며 사사건건 구박하고, 빌라누에바에게도 툭하면 면박을 주는 등 능력 있는 팀장처럼 굴지만 정작 본인도 중요한 사건 현장에 경찰 배지를 흘리고 나오는 등 하는 짓은 별반 다르지 않다. 최종화에서 결국 마약단속국을 그만두게 됐다는 소식을 전하며 퇴장.

• 기예르모 빌라누에바 (Roberto Montesinos)
  DEA 팀 중 최연장자. 은퇴를 몇 달 앞두고 있다. 수잔 더피의 멘토이자 툭툭거리지만 누구보다 그녀를 아끼는 아버지 같은 존재.

• 스티븐 엘리엇 (Daniel David Stewart)
  DEA 신입 요원으로 팀 중 막내. 현장 지도를 잘못 읽는 바람에 더피 팀이 애써 확보한 영상을 법정 증거로 제출할 수 없게 만드는 치명적인 실수를 했다. 5화에서는 구금해 두고 있던 리처드의 보디가드 존 쿠퍼를 혼자 감시하던 중, 담배 좀 피우게 해 달라는 쿠퍼의 간곡한 요구에 불을 붙여주기 위해 라이터를 켰다가 때를 노려 소독용 알코올을 뿜은 쿠퍼에 의해 화상을 입고 쓰러진 뒤 머리를 집중적으로 구타당해 사망한다.

• 폴 "폴리" 반 호벤 (올리비에 리히터스/Olivier Richters)
  재커리 벡을 위해 일하는 경비원. 그렇지만 실제로는 퀸을 위해 일하는 사람이며, 과거 리처드를 납치해 직접 귀를 자른 장본인이다. 새로 벡에게 합류한 리처와 사사건건 충돌한다.
  
  결국 최종결전에서 둘이 제대로 한 판 붙는데, 폴리가 리처보다 체격도 크고 힘과 맷집이 강하다보니[21] 전혀 밀리지 않고 되려 리처가 폴리를 상대하는데 애를 먹는다.[22] 폴리와 리처 둘 다 치열하게 싸우며 서로를 한 번씩 죽일 뻔 했으나 각자 살아나와서[23] 다시 붙어야 했고, 마지막에는 경비실에서 리처와 격전을 벌이다가 경비실에 장비된 기관총으로 리처를 사살하려 하지만 싸우는 틈에 리처가 기관총의 탄 링크에서 탄환을 한 발 뽑아내 총구에 쑤셔넣어놓은 상태였고, 결국 기관총이 폭발해 최후를 맞는다.[24]
  
  여담으로 폴리 역을 맡은 리히터스는 보디빌더이며, 무려 7피트 2인치(218cm)의 거구에다가 보디빌더인만큼 무지막지한 근육질이라 둘이 같이 서있으면 잭 리처 역을 맡은 앨런 리치슨도 만만치 않은 거구임에도 평범해보이는 현상이 일어난다.#

• 도미니크 콜 중사
  과거 시점에서 퀸을 추적하는 임무를 부여받은 리처의 부서에 새로이 배속된 수사관. 사람을 까다롭게 고르는 리처도 인정할 정도로 뛰어난 수사 능력과 정보 분석 능력을 갖춘 베테랑이다. 퀸과 관련된 인물들을 수사하며 증거를 확보해 퀸을 체포하는 임무를 맡게 되지만, 낌새를 눈치챈 퀸에게 붙잡혀 고문을 당하다 살해된다.[25]

2.3.2. 원작과의 비교

• 현직 제 110 특수수사대 지휘관으로 <61시간>~<네버고백>까지 등장한 수잔 터너 소령이 언급된다. 원작처럼 리처와 친분이 있어보이지만 잠입 수사로 파견갔다면서 출연하지 않는다.
• 벡 가족에서 어머니인 앨리자베스 벡이 사별했다는 설정으로 바뀌어 미등장함에 따라 리처드와 재커리의 관계가 서먹서먹해졌다.
• 리처드 벡의 설정은 원작과 대부분 동일하지만 엘리자베스 벡이 삭제됨에 따라 리처와 교감을 하는 장면이 늘어났고, 아버지를 지킨답시고 트롤링만 하던 원작에 비해 퀸과 직접 맞서는 등 내면의 성장도 이루어냈다.
• 재커리 벡 역시 비중이 급상승했고, 리처에게 설득되어 퀸과 적극적으로 대적하게 된다. 다만 체포당하고 끝난 원작과 달리 아들 앞에서 퀸에게 살해당하는 불쌍한 최후를 맞게 된다.
• 퀸의 인종이 백인에서 아시아계로 변경되었으며, 최종보스 포지션에 걸맞게 출연도 더 늘어났다. 다만 원작과 달리 바이어인 러시아인들에게 쩔쩔매는 등 굴욕을 겪는 장면도 추가되었다. 죽기 전에야 리처를 보고 과거의 기억을 되찾는 것과 리처에게 최후를 맞게 되는 것은 동일하다.[26]
• 폴리는 원작에서는 엘리자베스를 성희롱하고 리처드를 강간하는 인간 말종 그 자체였으며 스테로이드 부작용으로 머리도 잘 안돌아가는 꼴통이었다. 이 때문에 리처를 죽이기 직전까지 간 상황에서 역으로 당하고 말았다. 드라마에서는 머리가 안좋다는 묘사는 삭제되고 리처와도 세번 사투를 벌이는 등 인성적으로나 실력적으로나 상향을 받았다.
• 원작에는 등장하지 않았던 니글리가 다시 출연해 리처를 돕는다. 이로서 니글리는 전 시즌 개근하게 되었다.
• 더피의 DEA 팀은 원작에서는 더피, 빌라누에바, 엘리엇을 포함해 7명이나 되었으나 드라마에서는 세명으로 축소되었다. 물론 비중이 없는 다른 팀원 4명은 벡의 경호원들[27]이 탈출하는 과정에서 살해당하는 있으나마나 하는 역할이긴 했다. 드라마에서는 그 경호원에게 살해당하는 역할은 엘리엇 한 사람으로 끝났고, 이 경호원은 나중에 빌라누에바와 리처가 판 함정에 걸려 살해당한다.
• 더피가 벡의 조직에 심어놓은 테레사의 경우 원작에서는 빌라누에바가 키운 DEA 요원이었으나 드라마에서는 더피가 끌어들인 그냥 정보원이 되었으며, 배우에 따라 외모 역시 금발에서 적발로 변경되었다. 이 때문에 테레사가 구금되어 있을때 스스로 남긴 단서들이 삭제되어 하향을 당한 셈.
• 벡의 조직에 가정부로 위장해 침투해있던 ATF 요원의 경우 원작에서는 퀸에게 직접 고문당하면서 콜과 같은 방식으로 살해당했으나 드라마에서는 폴리가 심문 중 주먹으로 한대 때렸더니 사망해버렸다고 언급되면서 상대적으로 편하게 갔다. ATF가 퀸 체포 작전에 직접 개입하는 부분은 드라마의 오리지널 요소이다.
• 원작과 달리 잭 리처의 멘토였던 가버 장군이 과거 시점에서 등장한다.
• 퀸에게 살해당한 부하 도미니크 콜과 썸을 타는 장면이 삭제되어 드라마 상에서는 서로 믿고 의지하는 선후배 사이로만 나온다.
