1. 개요
빌리 레이 사이러스의 정규 10집 'Home at Last'의 리드 싱글로, 2007년 8월 13일 발매되었다.2007년 8월 13일 발매 당시에는 빌리 레이 사이러스의 솔로곡이었다. 당시 한나 몬타나 열풍을 타고 빌보드 핫 100 차트 85위를 기록했는데, 빌리 레이 사이러스의 차트인은 2000년 이후 7년 만이었다.
이후 2007년 10월 10일 딸 마일리 사이러스와의 듀엣 버전이 추가 발매되었다. 한나 몬타나의 주인공으로서 신드롬 급 인기를 누리고 있던 마일리의 덕택에 이 버전이 솔로 버전보다 더 큰 인기를 누렸다. 빌보드 핫 100 최고 순위는 37위.
여담으로 마일리가 마일리 스튜어트의 명의가 아니라 '마일리 사이러스'의 명의로 싱글을 발매한 것은 이 노래가 처음이었다. 다만 솔로곡이 아니었기에 보통 마일리의 데뷔 싱글은 같은 해 12월 발매되는 See You Again으로 쳐주는 편이다. 참고로 'Ready, Set, Don't Go' 전에도 'I Learned Form You'라는 곡이 마일리 사이러스의 명의로 공개되긴 했다.[1] 다만 이 곡은 한나 몬타나 사운드트랙 앨범의 수록곡으로서 싱글로 발매되지 않았기에 마일리의 데뷔 싱글로 카운트되지 않는다.
싱글 발매 당시 마일리의 나이는 고작 14살이었다.
