3. 배경

뮤직비디오는 일본 도쿄에서 촬영하였다. 뮤비 내용은 밴드의 열렬한 팬이 그들의 음악을 너무 즐겨듣다 못해 현실에서 그들을 보는 환각을 경험하는 내용이라나(...) 뮤비 중간중간에 나오는 클린 밴딧의 기하학적인 로고를 찾아보는 재미도 쏠쏠하다. 주연을 맡은 배우는 영국에서 활동하는 일본인 배우 하루카 아베이다.

전작의 여세를 몰아가는 듯 하더니 순식간에 영국 차트를 점령해버렸다. 영국 차트 연간 1위까지 한 곡. 영국 차트 성적은 4주 1위, 무려 82주간 차트인 한 엄청난 기록을 보유하고 있으며, 1996년 이후로 가장 많은 판매고를 올린 1월의 1위 트랙이다. 유튜브의 뮤직비디오는 무려 4억건을 넘은 지 오래다.

영국 뿐만 아니라 오스트레일리아에서 3x플래티넘을 찍었고, 캐나다와 미국에서는 2x플래티넘, 벨기에와 스위스, 뉴질랜드에서는 플래티늄, 독일에서는 3x골드를 찍은 세계적 히트곡을 만들어내면서 엄청난 유명세를 탄 곡이다. 한 마디로 이 곡으로 영국을 비롯한 세계 음반 시장을 점령한 대박을 친 것.

생각보다 빌보드 핫 100 순위는 낮으나, 차트 순위와 노래의 유명세는 꼭 비례하지는 않는다는 것을 기억하자. 전 세계적으로 2014년 한 해 동안 이 곡이 무한반복으로 흘러나왔을 것이다.[2]
