블록맨 고의 게임 방식이나 인게임 UI는 모두 마인크래프트와 매우 유사하며, 게임 진입 전의 플랫폼 화면에선 로블록스의 구성이 투영된다. 즉, 블록맨 고는 다른 게임을 표절하여[1] 만든 게임이라고 할 것이다.

스킨 파츠나 이벤트, 인게임에서 다른 미디어 컨텐츠[2]를 무단 도용하여 만든 것으로 보이는 창작물이 많다.

뿐만아니라 플랫폼 내의 미니게임 대부분은 마인크래프트나 로블록스에서 가져온 것임을 쉽게 눈치챌 수 있다. 아래는 표절이 의심되는 게임의 대표적 예시이다.

Bed Wars : 마인크래프트에서 유명한 서버인 하이픽셀의 대표적인 미니게임 중 하나인 Bed Wars를 그대로 가져와 표절했다. 게임 내의 설정과 규칙, 그리고 플레이 방식까지 모두가 원작과 일치한다. 블록맨 멀티플레이어에 처음 출시되었으며, 그 당시 초기에는 상자를 이용하여 아이탬을 구매하거나 아이템의 종류, 그리고 맵과 설정 등의 차이가 심하게 있었다. 그 후로 업데이트가 되면서 상인을 이용해 아이탬을 구매하는 방법과 맵 등이 추가로 바뀌게 되었다. [3] 그 후로는 업데이트의 전황이 보이지 않았으나 갑작스러운 패치 [4]을 통하여 로비가 생겨났고, 하이픽셀의 무단 표절이 아닌 완전히 가져다가 베껴온 형태로 게임이 바뀌게 되었다. 이를 통한 유저들의 심한 비판이 있었으나 오히려 게임의 인기는 증가하기만 했을 뿐이다. [5]

Sky Wars : [6] Sky Wars 또한 하이픽셀의 대표적인 미니게임 중 하나로 속한다. 블록맨 멀티플레이어 시절에는 Bed Wars 다음으로 가장 인기가 높은 게임이었으나 블록맨 고에서 여러 미니게임들이 추가됨으로써 인기가 급격히 하락하게 되었다.

Egg Wars : 블록맨 고의 초기 시절에 인기 게임 1위를 기록한 미니게임이다. 이 미니게임 역시도 마인크래프트 서버의 미니게임을 그대로 베껴온 게임이다.[7]

Murder Mystery : [8] 첫 출시에는 어느 정도 흥행이 있었으나 타겜에 비해 매우 인기가 적은 게임 중 하나다. [9] 이 또한 하이픽셀의 미니게임 중 하나이며 로블록스에도 유명한 미니게임이다.

Murder Mystery 2 : 이너슬로스가 개발한 어몽어스의 일부를 베낀 게임이다. 전술한 게임들처럼 출시 직후에는 큰 인기를 얻었지만 어몽어스가 안정기에 들어서고 난 후 점차 인지도가 떨어지다가 동접자수가 Murder Mystery와 비슷하게 유지되었다.

Survival Games : [10] 이 또한 하이픽셀의 미니게임중 하나인 Blitz SG를 빼다박았다.

Trainer League : 전형적인 양산형 게임과 포켓몬스터를 혼합하여 내보낸 미니 게임이다.

Build and Shoot : 픽셀건 3D를 그대로 베낀 게임이다. 모든 기능이 몇몇 제외한 전부와 유사하며, 무기의 스킨도 베껴왔다.

Blockman Strike : 이름부터 카운터 스트라이크를 연상시키는 이 게임은, 설정을 잘못하였는지 친구 목록에서 친구가 게임을 할 때 아예 Counter Strike로 보이게 해 놓았다.

Hero Tycoon 2 : 본래 로블록스에 있던 게임 중 하나이다. 그나마 바뀐점이라면 로비에 사람들이 모이고 동시에 시작한다는 점밖에 없다.

PUBG:battle field : 배틀그라운드의 표절이다.

Horror 1vs4 : DEAD BY DAYLIGHT의 표절이다. 살인마 1명과 생존자 4명이 술래잡기를 하는 모습과 발전기 등 모든 걸 배꼈다 해도 과언이 아닐 정도. ~~그나저나 살인마를 정육점이라고 해놓은...~~

GROW with ME : 한국 서버에서는 '나와 함께 자라'로 번역되었다. 로블록스의 게임인 Adopt Me!를 그대로 배꼈다.

Anime Fighting Simulator : 로블록스의 애파시를 그대로 배꼈다. 바뀐점은 주먹과 신체훈련이 사라졌고, 맵이 배 만들기나 펫 시뮬처럼 앞으로 나아가는 형식이며, 차크라는 체력, 검은 공격력을 높이는 것이고, 적을 죽이면 양산형 MMORPG 마냥 아이템이 나온다. 이와 함께 Anime All star라는 게임도 로블록스의 게임을 배꼈다.

Free City RP : 한국 서버에서는 '무료 도시 RP'로 번역되었다. 로블록스의 Brookhaven RP를 그대로 배꼈으며, 맵 구조나 꾸미기, 집, 차량 등 완전 똑같다. 심지어는 시작할 때의 분수대도 똑같다!

Jail Break : 로블록스의 Jail Break를 그대로 표절했다.

TowerWorld : Champion : 로블록스의 Mega Obby를 그대로 배꼈다. 그리고 올라가면 사라지는 무지개다리도 따라했다.

1.2. 현질시스템 문제

B큐브, G큐브 등 여러 재화와 과금요소를 거쳐 현재의 시스템을 갖추게 된 블록맨은 출시 이래 수 년이 지난 지금까지도 재화시스템에 대한 갈피를 못잡고 있다.

어떤 게임에서는 재화를 통해 인게임에서 얻을 수 있는 것들이 너무 짜다는 평가가, 어떤 게임에서는 재화가 너무 사기적이기 때문에 뉴비 양학이 우려된다는 평가가 발생하고 있다.

1.3. 부실한 한글지원

발번역이 Bing 번역기를 초월할 정도로 매우 심각하다. 당장 컴퓨터 버전의 블록맨고 웹사이트에 들어가보면 발번역을 쉽게 찾을 수 있다.[11] 번역되어 있는 단어와 원래 본문이 뭐가 상관있는지 알 수 없을 정도로, 이정도면 그냥 한글화를 안하는게 나을 정도이다.

예를 들면 각종 미니게임에서 상자를 가슴 [12]이라고 번역하거나 '나와 함께 자라.'로 번역하거나 이것도 부족해서 그냥 지원을 안 하는(!) 사례도 종종 있다. 그리고 Blockman Go의 미니게임의 베드워즈에서 특정 블록의 스킨을 선택하는 메뉴에서, 스킨이라고 번역하면 되는 것을 굳이 피부차단(...)이라고 번역하고, 도전과제라고 하면 될 것을 굳이 보물 도전이라고 한다..

또한 Blockman Go의 미니게임인 베드워즈에서 또 듀얼 [13], 더블이라고 하면 되는 것을 굳이 복식이라고 하기도 한다. 이것은 개선이 되기는커녕, 방치만 해둔다. 이것도 부족해서 오타도 심심치 않게 나온다. 이쪽이 쉽게 찾아볼 수가 있는 것이 아니라 게임이 스스로 보이게 하는 수준이다.

1.4. 현질유도

당연히 다른 게임에서도 빠른 성장을 위해선 현질이 필요하긴 한데, 여기선 표절 대상 중 하나로 추측되는 게임 중 하나인 로블록스처럼 주요 미니게임에선 대부분 과금이 필요하다. 일단 스킨을 살 때 무과금으로도 얻을 수 있는 코인으로 살 수 있는 아이템도 있고 현질로 얻을 수 있는 G큐브로 살 수 있는 것도 있다. 여기까지만 보면 스킨쪽엔 그다지 문제가 되지 않으나 문제는 코인으로 살 수 있는 게 9000코인, 8000코인씩하니 뉴비들이나 무과금들은 노가다를 해야 한다.[14] 그리고 G큐브아이템은 대부분 50G큐브에서 1000G큐브사이 가격이다. 그나마 다행인 건 스킨 살 때 쓸 수 있는 파란 큐브는 초보자들에게 좀 주긴 한다. 근데 그래도 이 게임의 주요 미니게임인 배드워즈에선 이벤트 같은 걸 할 때 G큐브가 좀 필요하다.[15] 그리고 이게임에서 실력보다 중요한 룬을 뽑으려면 룬을 많이 뽑아야 하는데 이때 열쇠가 필요해서 게임으로도 얻을 수 있으나 G큐브로도 살 수 있다. 즉 무과금이랑 과금러랑 차이가 좀 많이 난다는 것. 그래서인지 유튜브같은 곳에 가면 P2W 게임이라는 말이 많이 나온다.

1.5. 각종 버그 및 최적화 불안정 문제

워낙 최적화 상태가 매우 심각하다. 주로 로딩 속도가 매우 느려지거나 모바일 데이터로 연결했는데도 불구하고 서버에 안 들어가지는 일도 잦다.[16] 너무 심하면 아예 게임을 못할 수가 있다. 개발자가 계속 업데이트와 개선만 하는데도 불구하고 방치만 한다. 게다가 버그도 많아서 개발자가 계속 업데이트를 하기 싫어서 냅두는 경우가 많다. 너무 버그가 많아지거나 최적화가 매우 불안정 해지는 것도 가장 큰 문제점이다.

1.6. 서버 분열 업데이트 문제

2021년 8월 후반에 블록맨 고의 한 획을 그었던 대규모 서버 업데이트가 되었다. 대표적으로 USA, 인도, 아시아, 러시아, EU, 북아메리카 등등 수많은 서버로 갈라졌다. 아무런 예고도 없이 대규모 서버 업데이트가 되어 당시의 유저들은 친했던 사람들과 강제 이별을 하게 되었다. 결국 유저들은 각 서버 별 계정을 얻기 시작, 이후 2022년도로 들어서서 안정화가 되기 시작하였으나 여전히 다시 서버 통합을 해달라는 의견도 적지 않게 나왔었다. 하지만 이후 운영자가 유저들의 목소리를 들어준 것인지 2022년 11월 경 어드민 Rishu23이 특정 유튜버들에게 서버 분열 업데이트는 곧 사라질 것이다 라고 떡밥을 던졌다 https://youtube.com/shorts/4Atarommx04
그리고 결국 2023년 3월 경 예고한 날짜보다 늦었지만 점검 후 반 서버 통합이 되었다. 이때는 미니게임 총차트 리더보드와 밑에 서술한 클랜 총차트 랭킹만이 어느 정도 복구되었으며, 이후 4월경에 다른 서버 유저들과 친구 추가&파티 게임까지 할 수 있게 되었다.
이로써 약 1년 8개월 만에 서버 통합이 이루어졌다.

한 번 업데이트한 것은 롤백하지 않는 블록맨 고의 특성상 유저들의 항의가 얼마나 컸는지 알 수 있었던 문제점이었다.

1.6.1. 웹사이트 버전의 버전 업데이트 지연

블록맨고는 모바일 버전과 공식 웹사이트 버전이 있는데, 게임 버전이 통일되는 것이 아니라 제각각으로 따로 존재한다. 문제는 서로 버전이 다르면 어떠한 미니게임 내에서도 만날 수가 없다. 즉, 모바일 버전과 웹사이트 버전의 서버가 분리된다는 것이다. 2023년 1월 15일을 기준으로 웹사이트 버전의 업데이트가 모바일 버전의 업데이트보다 느린 상황으로 웹사이트 버전 이용자는 미니게임을 할 수 없는 상황에 이르렀다.[17] 해당 상황으로 웹사이트 버전으로 플레이하는 것이 손에 익은 유저들은 게임을 할 수 없는 상황이다. 현재 공식 게임 포럼에 빠른 웹사이트 버전 또한 버전 업데이트를 요구하는 글이 난무하고 있으나, 포럼 관리자는 침착하게 기다려라.라는 말로만 답변하고 있는 상황이다.

1.6.2. 치명적인 오류와 개발자의 방치

2023년 1월 24일 경, 전체 이용자의 수의 80% 가량을 차지하고 있는 미니게임 BedWars와 SkyWars를 포함한 많은 미니게임에서 접속 시 20초 후 'Cheat Detected'라는 문구가 뜨면서 게임에서 퇴장되는 치명적인 오류가 발생하였다. 약 10000명 이상이던 BedWars 이용자 수는 약 1500명 이하로 급락하였으며, BedWars뿐만 아니라 대부분의 미니게임의 이용자가 감소하여 서버가 침체되었다. 이에 외국 게이머들은 Blockman Go 서버가 해킹되었다는 주장을 하고 있다.[18]
여기서 가장 문제되는 점은 개발자와 상담원의 대처이다. 개발자는 2023년 1월 30일까지 휴일이라며 오류를 수정할 수 없다고 하고, 상담원은 직책이 없다는 이유로 곧 고쳐질 것이니 조금만 기다려주세요.라는 매크로식 답변으로 일관하고 있으며, 일부 상담원은 개발자들의 휴일도 생각해 주어라.라며 서버 자체가 침체된 상황에서 개발자들의 휴일을 고려하라는 미친 망언을 하며 시종일관 무시하고 있다.

2. 사용자 문제

2.1. 키배러 문제

중국에서 운영하는 플랫폼이다 보니 한국 유저들에 대한 운영이 부실했던지라, 블록맨 고 곳곳에선 키보드배틀이 난무하게 된다. 이들 중에선 키보드배틀만 전문적으로 팠던 악성 유저들도 있었는데, 대부분 타 플랫폼[19]에서도 ㅡ러한 일들을 저질렀던 것으로 추정.

2.2. 네임드 유저들의 문제

블록맨 고 한국 유저 사이에선 랭커 클랜의 네임드 유저들이 횡포를 부려 크고 작은 사회문제가 부각된 바 있다. 이들은 주로 과거에 활동했던 한국계 1, 2위 PK클랜과 KBPG클랜을 중심으로 포진하는데, 한때 PK클랜의 유저들이 무고한 유저를 고로시 하거나 다른 클랜을 공격하며 문제가 발생하였다.

2.2.1. 타 클랜에 대한 공격 행위

오픈채팅, 디스코드방을 통한 네임드 유저들의 친목이 확산되자 특정 클랜을 중심으로 한 연합이 형성되었다. 이는 클랜 정원에 한계가 있는 반면 친목러들의 수가 많았기 때문으로, 이러한 연합을 통해 클랜 사이의 전쟁이 발발하게 된다.

타 클랜에 대한 공격 행위는 여러 유저와 세력에 의하여 발생하였으나, 가장 대표적인 사례를 꼽자면 PK클랜의 사례이다. 사건이 발생할 당시 블록맨의 친목러 사이에선 이미 키보드배틀러와 분탕충이 존재하고 있었으며, 한국 1위의 PK클랜에서도 이러한 문제가 대두되었다.

PK클랜은 연합을 통해 다른 클랜을 흡수합병하고자 상대진영 유저들에게 폭언, 욕설을 일삼았으며, 몇몇 유저들은 신상유포 등의 피해를 입기도 하였다.

긴 싸움 끝에 악성 유저들이 일선에서 물러나는 시기가 오면서 과거의 문제는 사그라들었으나, 아직도 네임드 유저들의 사이에는 위험인물이 존재하는 것으로 추정된다.

2023년 3월경에 반 서버 통합 업데이트 이후로 각 서버마다 클랜 랭킹이 이상해졌다.[20] 그런고로 멀쩡한 클랜들은 죄다 클랜 랭킹 5000+가 되어 버리는 초유의 사태가 벌어졌다. 그러나 운영자 측은 이에 대해 그저 버그라고 해명했지만 현재까지도 전혀 고쳐지지 않고 있다.

2.2.2. 비매너 유저

블록맨고 유저라면 누구나 한번 이상 쯤 보았을 법한 비매너 행동들이 난무한다.
현질을 잔뜩 해놓고 소과금이나 무과금 유저들에게 noob라고 약올리거나 스폰 킬을 하는 등[21] [22], 비매너 행위를 밥 먹듯이 하며, 몇몇 K-잼민이들은 욕설 또는 성드립들과 팀킬[23], 게임 중퇴[24]와 같은 행동으로 트롤링을 시전하여 즐겜하는 유저들의 분노를 불러와 샷건을 치게 만든다. 그리고 사기 행각을 벌이는 악질 유저들이 존재하는데, 큐브를 대신 현질해 준다는 것으로 꼬드겨 상대의 계정을 강탈하는 유저[25]가 대표적이며, 클랜간에 불화가 있을 때 또는 아무 이유 없이 남의 클랜을 강탈하는 악질 유저도 있다![26] 전술한 클랜과 같이 그룹채팅의 형태를 띤 공동체에서 욕설과 성드립을 하고 자신이 유리한 환경에서 키보드 배틀을 걸어 멘탈을 싹싹 털어버리는 유저도 있다. 현재도 일명 '플라이 핵'[27]을 쓴 유저들이 돌아다녀 스카이 로얄에서는 미리 도구를 상자에서 꺼내 입고 스폰킬을 하는 장면도 심심치 않게 보이기도 한 적이 있다. 또한 버그를 이용하여 스카이 로얄과 에그 워즈 같은 게임에서 랭킹을 임의적으로 올리는 유저들도 존재한다. 이런 유저들은 신고하는 것이 좋겠지만, 운영자는 정작 받지 않거나 받는 게 길다.[28]

2.2.3. 양산형 유튜버

양산형 유튜버[29]들로 인해 발생하는 문제도 있다. 유튜브에서 Blockman Go Bed Wars를 검색한 뒤 아무 영상에 들어가보면 내용이 제목과 1도 상관없는 내용이거나 유튜브 각을 잡기 위해 조작을 한 영상이 대부분일 것이다.[30] 방금 경우를 제외한 대부분의 영상들의 내용은 국내외 인터넷 밈과 병맛 영상이 주를 이룬다. 게다가 NCS 브금을 출처 없이 무단으로 쓰는 영상들도 흔하게 있다.[31] 그리고 먼저 서술한 것처럼 유저 혹은 클랜을 저격하는 저질 영상들도 가끔 보인다.

[1] 순화하면 벤치마킹.[2] 애니메이션, 게임 등[3] 이 당시가 바로 블록맨 고의 출시일이기도 하다.[4] 그동안의 업데이트 전적에 비해서는 게임 내의 설정을 완전히 뒤집어놓는 듯한 큰 패치였다.[5] 블록맨 고의 미니게임의 인기 순위 1위를 차지했던 것은 Egg Wars라는 게임이었다. 하지만 이 패치로 인해서 2위를 차지하던 Bed Wars는 속히 1위 자리를 성취하게 되었다.[6] 위에서 언급한 Bed Wars 내용과 일치한다.[7] 이 미니게임의 원작을 제작한 서버는 하이픽셀이 아닌 큐브크래프트이다.[8] Bed Wars와 Sky Wars 내용과 일치함.[9] 어떨 때는 유저 수가 너무 부족해(블록맨 멀티플레이어 시절에) 오류로 인지하여 갑자기 서버가 닫혔다가 열리는 경우도 잦았다.[10] 흥행도와 내용 모두가 Sky Wars와 거의 일치하다.[11]

[12] 현재는 해결.[13] 사실 이건 1대1로 오해하는 유저들도 적지 않을 것이다.[14] 참고로 G큐브를 코인으로 변환할 순 있다. 100원당 1G큐브.[15] 굳이 안 해도 되긴 하다.[16] 물론 보통 모바일 데이터는 일반 와이파이보단 느리니 안 들어가지는 일도 있을 수 있다[17] 웹사이트 버전 이용자는 버전이 같은 웹사이트 버전 이용자끼리만 만날 수 있는데, 웹사이트 버전 이용자가 모바일 버전 이용자보다 절대적으로 수가 적기 때문이다.[18] 실제로 BedWars의 랭킹 1위가 비정상적인 점수로 1위에 올라가있어, 랭킹 1위가 이 상황을 만든 해커라는 설이 있다. ~~그만큼 전체적인 시스템이 심각하게 취약하다~~[19] 전작인 블록맨 멀티플레이어나 모바일 마인크래프트 멀티플레이 중계 앱인 옴렛 아케이드[20] 예시로 이미 해체된 클랜이나 서버 분열 바로 직전인 2021년 8월경에 총차트 순위권 클랜이었던 클랜들이 반 서버 통합 업데이트 후 또다시 그대로 총차트 랭킹을 차지해버리고 과거 1~9 레벨이었던 클랜들이 현재 총차트 랭킹에 섞이게 된 기묘한 현상이 발생 일각에선 서버 통합이 아니라 그냥 게임 서버 자체가 과거로 롤백된 게 아니냐는 의견도 있었다.[21] 특히 jail break는 심하다.[22] 이런 걸로 랭커가 된 사례도 적지 않다.[23] 예시로 벽으로 끼게 만들어 떨어뜨린다거나, 배드워즈 등지에서는 낙사 방지 슬라임으로 끼게 하여 유저에게 피해를 준다.[24] 팀전 게임에서는 매우 치명적이다.[25] 보통 해외에서 나타난다[26] 주로 3렙 이상의 클랜이 타겟이 되며, 계정 강탈 사기와 연계가 되기도 한다.[27] 공중에서 무한정 점프를 사용할 수 있게 한 핵이다.[28] 예로 디스코드에서의 블고 채팅방은 게임 버그 신고 처리와 질문받기 방만 답변이 수두룩하며, 유저 신고는 그것들에 비해 답장이 거의 없다. 애초에 밴 먹이는 사유 중 하나로 자국인 중국을 욕하는 것이라는 어느 사건을 연상케 하는 것을 보면 의심이 들 정도가 맞아 보인다.[29] 주로 외국계 유저들이다[30] 예를 들어 Null이라는 것이 있다. Blockman Go Null을 검색하면 영상에 검은색인 무언가가 있는데 이건 다 편집으로 도배되는 병맛 영상을 볼 수 있다. 문제는 재미도 없는데 이런 영상이 천지여서 유익함과 재미 둘중 하나라도 있는 영상을 찾기가 힘들다. 물론 한국 쪽에서는 상황이 100배는 낫다. 물론 영상들이 편집이 매우 부실한 영상 위주가 많으나, 위에서 언급한 어그로성 따위가 없는 영상들이다.[31] 자세한 건 NCS의 사용정책을 참고하자.
