발매 당시에는 "Royals"의 글로벌적인 대히트로 주목받으면서 평론가와 리스너들에게 공통적으로 “스타일리시한 미니멀 팝 앨범” 정도로 인식되며 10대 아티스트의 가능성을 보여준 수작이라는 평가가 많았으나, 이후 시간이 지나면서 로드가 Pure Heroine과 Melodrama를 통해 팝 씬 전반에 미친 영향력과 10대 시절을 떠오르게 하는 앨범의 내러티브 덕분에 현 시점에서는 명작으로 재평가되고 있다. 특히 이 앨범을 10대 시절에 접했던 리스너들이 시간이 지나 어른이 되면서, 예전에는 막연하게 느껴졌던 가사와 감정이 더 현실적으로 다가온다는 반응이 많다.
