앨범 및 타이틀곡명인 'PINKY UP'은 차를 마실 때 새끼손가락을 들어 올리는 제스처를 뜻하며, 관용적으로 '우아한 척하다', '고상한 척하다', '허세를 부리다'라는 의미로 사용된다.

발매 전, 3월 말부터 데모 버전 음원과 뮤직비디오의 스토리보드, 안무 일부분이 유출되는 일이 있었다.~~일부분도 아니고 아예 통째로 유출되어서 그냥 일부러 공개한 것이 아니냐는 음모론도 돈 적 있다.~~

멤버 마농이 건강과 웰빙을 이유로 활동 중단에 돌입한 이후 5인조로 발매하는 첫 싱글이다.[2]

노래는 호불호가 갈리지만 코첼라에서의 첫 퍼포먼스 무대 이후에는 상당히 반응이 좋다.

윤채가 데뷔 이래 처음으로 금발로 염색했다. # # # #

[1] KST 기준으로 4월 10일 자정 1시.[2] 4월 공개된 잡지 NYLON 커버에서는 마농도 뮤직비디오 컨셉처럼 흰색 긴머리 가발을 쓰고 나왔기 때문에 뮤직비디오는 활동 중단 발표 이후에 마농을 편집하고 일부 장면을 재촬영한 것으로 보인다.
