Old Soldiers Never Die(노병은 죽지 않는다.)
원래 노병은 죽지 않는다. 다만 사라질 뿐이다. 라는 격언은 미군의 캐치프레이즈로서 널리 알려져 있었다. 후에 미군들이 영국의 복음성가인 Kind Thoughts Can Never Die를 기반으로 개사하여 부른 것이 바로 이 곡이다.
더글러스 맥아더 장군이 미국 의회 고별사에서 이 군가의 후렴을 인용한 바 있다.
