2002년부터 서울과 대구 지역의 언더그라운드 무대에 오르며 활동을 시작하여 어느덧 10년차 활동경력의 아티스트가 된 팔로알토는 이제 창작활동 뿐만아니라 하이라이트 레코즈(HI-LITE RECORDS)라는 레이블의 대표이기도 하다.
2010년에 스스로 음반제작회사를 설립하여 어느덧 3년차가 된 하이라이트 레코즈는 현재 힙합팬들 사이에서 주목받는 레이블이 되었으며 소속 아티스트들 역시 활발한 창작활동으로 인지도를 키워가고있는 중이다.
팔로알토의 새앨범 [Chief Life]은 10년동안 창작활동을 해온, 그리고 30대가 된 레이블 대표로서 경험하고 느낀 이야기들을 앨범에 담았다.
물질적인 욕심보다는 창작에 대한 순수한 열정으로 창작활동을 해왔던 그가 이제 어른이 되면서 갖게 된 현실적인 시각, 그리고 어렸을 때 꿈꿔왔던 것들은 다 이루고 또 다른 새로운 꿈을 갖고 그것을 성취하기 위해 야망찬 계획들을 세워가는 그의 식지않는 열정이 [Chief Life]를 통해 느껴진다.

- Circle이란 곡의 가사는 팔로알토 본인이 Good Times에서 한번 더 썼으며 Keith Ape가 pyscho'14란 곡에서 팔로알토를 샤라웃하면서 인용하였다.
- 팔로알토가 직접 언급하길 이 앨범이 자신의 커리어 대표작이 되는 것은 매우 아쉽다고 발언했다. 왜냐하면 아쉬운 점이 너무 많았다고[3] 더불어 이 당시의 자신의 입지와 브랜드 이미지라서 상을 주게 되는 어떤 상황을 만들어져서 그러며 또 자신의 커리어에서 그렇게 많이 화자되는 앨범은 아니고 수록되어 있는 곡 중에 여전히 대중적으로 회자되는 곡도 없어서라고 한다. 한마디로 자신의 대표작이라기엔 팔로알토를 잘 드러내는 앨범은 아니다.[4] 그래도 한대음 수상을 자신의 음악 커리어에서 상을 받았다는 것은 감사하다고 했다.
