[1] "Mute"의 주 멜로디 모티프(motif)는 스티븐 윌슨의 또 다른 프로젝트인 노-맨 (No-Man)의 곡 "Days in the Trees"에 재사용되었다. 그리고 이 곡은 또한 '진보의 이름'으로 행해진 폭력을 냉소하고 무고한 희생자들을 기리는 듯한 곡이기도 한데 히로시마가 언급되고 있다. 히로시마·나가사키 원자폭탄 투하를 참고하자.[2] 더블 LP 버전은 수록 트랙에 있어서 약간의 차이가 있다. 프린스(음악가)의 곡 "The Cross"를 커버한 트랙 대신 The Love, Death & Mussolini로부터 "Out"이란 트랙으로 대체되어 있다. 2013년 CD 재발매반도 이 트랙 순서를 따르고 있다.
