1. 개요

Threads의 한국에서의 입지를 다룬 문서.

2. 특징

한국 스레드의 경우 한국 X(트위터)처럼 이용자들만의 독자적인 커뮤니티 문화가 있다.

본래 스레드가 공식 표기이지만 과거 한국 유저들에게는 '쓰레드'로 통용되고 있었다. 하지만 현재는 스레드라는 용어가 압도적으로 많이 쓰인다.

친구처럼 친근하게 보이거나 빨리 친해지기 위해서 나이에 상관없이 반말을 주로 사용하며 왠지 그 반말의 말투가 고정되어 있다. 이에 따라 타 SNS에 비해 결속력이 매우 강한 편이라고 할 수 있다. 다만 이걸 싫어하는 사람도 있으니 눈치껏 행동하자. 포스트를 존댓말로 쓴 경우 눈치껏 존댓말로 댓글을 달면 되고 프로필에 반말 금지를 언급했다면 알아서 달면 된다.

전반적인 이용자 연령대가 높은 축에 속한다. 이들 중엔 특히 자영업자 직군의 비중이 높은데, 비교적 공식적인 인스타그램 대신 사적으로 좀 더 편하게 소통하는 공간으로 스레드를 사용하고 있다. 인스타그램에 버금가는 프로모션 공간으로 쓰이기도 한다. X보다는 좀 더 프로페셔널하게 쓰이는 공간이라 일부는 스레드에서 사적인 이야기하는 것을 불편해하기도 한다.

X와 다르게 노출 등의 성적인 사진에 대해서 매우 민감한 편이다.[1] 섹드립 자체는 그냥 넘어가는 경우도 많지만, 노출 사진 등이 올라올 경우에는 빠르게 공론화되는 편이다. 하지만 현재는 성적인 내용을 담은 게시글을 올리는 유저도 그 악명 높은 X에 버금갈 수준으로 많아졌다. 물론 대놓고 성기를 노출한 사진을 올리면 바로 짤린다.

여느 커뮤니티가 그렇듯 정치병자가 존재하지만, 스레드의 경우에 정치병자의 비율이 타 SNS에 비해서 심한 편이다. 좌우파 성향의 게시물과 그 게시물의 답글에서 서로 다른 성향의 사람들이 키보드 배틀을 벌이는 광경을 심심치 않게 찾아볼 수 있으며, 자기랑 생각이 조금만 달라도 게시물을 박제해서 조리돌림하는 것이 일상인 곳이다. 해당 게시물을 피하기 위해서 설정에서 정치 콘텐츠 덜보기를 설정해도 아무 차이가 없어 관심 없음+특정 단어 차단을 하는 것이 정신건강에 이롭다. 정치병자가 많은 만큼 음모론자도 굉장히 많은 편.

타 커뮤니티 대비 야구팬이 많은 것도 특징인데 그만큼 팬덤 간 시비나 이상한 찌라시를 퍼트리는 경우도 많다.

성공팔이 게시글도 상당히 많이 목격되며 허세를 부리는 문화가 많다.

2026년 6월 기준 국내 MAU는 630만 명 정도이다.

특히, 정치나 스포츠 분야에서 조롱과 비난이 도를 넘는 경우가 많다.

3. 용어

스레드에서도 X와 같이 독자적인 용어들이 있다.

어두가 쓰- 인 용어들은 2024년 이후 사실상 사장되었다고 보면 된다. 참고로 스- 와 쓰- 는 같은 뜻이다.

스팔 : 스레드 팔로우
스팔완 : 스레드 팔로우 완료
스하리 : 스레드 팔로우, 하트, 리포스트의 준말[2]

스하리완 : 스하리 완료
스하리충 : 게시글 내용을 읽지 않거나 관심이 없는 상태에서 팔로우만 급하게 모으기 위해 스하리를 하는 사람의 멸칭. 전술했듯이 스하리는 현재 와서는 진정성이 없어 그다지 시선이 좋지 못하기 때문에 스하리충으로 불리고 싶지 않다면 그다지 하지 않는 편이 좋다.

스친 : 스레드 친구
반하리 : 팔로우, 하트, 리포스트 반사 혹은 스팔이 없는 스하리.
댓밴: 댓글/답글이 차단되는 기능. 너무 많이 활동했거나 혹은 누적된 신고가 들어왔을 경우 댓글 자체를 막아버린다. 하지만 투표 기능은 막지 않아서인지 투표로 소통하는 경우가 있다.
좋밴: 좋아요가 차단되는 기능. 너무 많은 좋아요를 누를 경우 차단되어버린다.
