텔레비전의 데뷔 앨범 Marquee Moon의 4번째 트랙. 밴드의 리드 보컬이자 기타리스트인 톰 벌레인이 작곡하였다.
한 테이크만에 녹음된 곡이며 당시 LP 한계상 원래는 길이가 9분 58초였으나 2003년 재발매 CD에서는 무삭제로 10분 40초 길이로 복원되었다.
앨범이 나오고 2개월 뒤인 1977년 4월 1일, 영국에서만 12인치 싱글로 발매가 되었으며 25000부로만 한정으로 판매를 하였다. B 면에는 다른 노래가 담기지 않았고 각기 다른 면이 스테레오, 모노인 형태로 구성되었다. 이후 7인치로 발매가 되었을때는 곡의 길이 탓에 곡을 A면에는 Marquee Moon (Part 1) 뒷면인 B면에는 Marqueemoon (Part 2)식으로 나누어 발매되었다. 라디오에 나오기에 길이가 길었던 노래임에도 불구하고 영국에 싱글로 발매했고 그 결과 영국 싱글 차트 30위에 올라 마이너한 성공을 거두었다.
