1. 개요

2024년 12월 1일, 영국의 음악 유튜버 XTRATUNA가 발표한 FNaF SOTM 2차 팬곡. 2025년 11월 26일 조회수는 1000만회.

2. 특징과 밈화

재키의 박스가 제목이지만, 정확히는 FNaF 소설인 Tales from the Pizzaplex 시리즈의 미믹, 미믹의 개발자인 에드윈 머레이(Edwin Murray)와 그의 아들인 데이비드 머레이(David Sean Murray)를 주제로 한 곡.[1]

비트는 무난하지만 매우 형편 없는 실력의 랩, 욕설이 난무하고 맥락이 없는 괴상한 가사, 믹싱과 보정이 이상해서 틈만 나면 음질이 깨지는 보컬 등의 조잡한 퀄리티의 안 좋은 시너지로 인해 밈적으로 유명하게 되었다. 틱톡이나 X(트위터)에서 밈이 되었고, 2개월 후 나온 SOTM 트레일러 발표를 기점으로 310만의 조회수를 얻었다. 심지어 이게 공식 트레일러보다 조회수가 더 많다.[2]

댓글 반응도 가관인데, '음악으로 듣는 전두엽 절제술'이라든가 '이것이 윌리엄이 지옥에서 받는 고문입니다', '프레디의 마약가게', 'The Dying Tombstone'(...)에 '이 노래는 출시된게 아니다, 지 혼자 탈출한거지‘[3]라는 등 정말 기상천외한 드립들이 성행하는 중이다.

"My name is Edwin. I made the Mimic(내 이름은 에드윈, 미믹을 만들었지)"와 "My name is David(내 이름은 데이비드)"가 이 노래에서 유명한데, 영상 내에 나온 중절모를 쓴 한 중년의 남성의 측면 모습 [4]이 꽤나 화제가 되어 아무 곳에나 이 남자가 있는 것처럼 합성하는 것이 주요 전개이다. 데이비드는 아이스크림을 원하는 모습에 떨어뜨린 공을 도로에 흘렸는데, 차에 치이는 전개가 유명하다.[5]

이 곡으로 인해, FNaF 소설인 Tales from the Pizzaplex 시리즈 [6]에 등장한 에드윈은 중절모를 쓴 중년 남성이자 미믹의 개발자로, 데이비드는 오렌지색 아이면서 아이스크림을 원하고, 차에 치이는 소년으로 유명하게 되었다.

3. 비판

게임이 출시되기 전에 나온 팬곡이다. 이런 경우 "최초" 타이틀로 조회수를 얻기 위해 급하게 만든 경우가 많고, 게임의 스토리를 상상해서 만들기 때문에 이후 공개되는 게임 내용과 다르다는 문제가 생긴다. 실제로 제작자는 소설판의 내용만을 가지고 2차 팬곡을 만들었다. Join Us For A Bite도 게임 발매 전 나온 2차 팬곡이지만, 퀄리티가 좋았기 때문에 JACKIE'S BOX처럼 안 좋은 의미로 화제가 되지는 않았었다.

상술했듯 매우 형편 없는 랩, 욕설이 난무하고 제정신이 아닌 가사,[7] 이상한 보정으로 인한 깨지는 보컬 등으로 인해 밈적으로는 유명해도, 음악적으로 보자면 질이 매우 안 좋다. 망가져서 유명해진 것들에 들어가도 될 정도다. 이 노래가 어디가 어떻게 잘못됐는지 분석하는 영상도 많고 이 노래의 아무 리믹스만 들어도 원곡보단 낫다. 위에선 좋아요 싫어요 비율로 호불호가 갈린다고 표현하긴 했지만 순수하게 이 노래가 좋아서 좋아요를 누른 사람은 아주 적을 것이다.

소설 6편의 The Mimic에서 24살의 에드윈 머레이는 부엌에서 아침 식사를 준비하던 와중 4살인 데이비드가 공을 주으러 도로에 나갔는데, 흰색 밴을 인지하지 못한 채 차에 치어 사망하는 것이 간접적으로 묘사되었다. 그런데 JACKIE'S BOX는 차에 치이는 소리와 함께 데이비드가 비명을 지르는 등의 너무 직설적으로 표현해서 사람들에게 불쾌함을 줄 수 있다.

이 문서는 My name is Edwin 혹은 My name is David로 들어올 수 있다.
서양에서 광대 하면 떠오르는 노래인 검투사의 입장 멜로디를 사용했다.
이 곡 이후 팬들은 중절모를 쓰고 검은색으로 덧칠한 남자 실루엣을 에드윈으로, 오렌지색으로 덧칠한 남자 실루엣을 데이비드로 부르기 시작했다.
FNaF 초중반기(2014-2017) 시기의 아마추어 음악 유튜버들이 내놓던 것 같은 퀄리티에 감탄하여 컬트적인 호평을 내놓으며 향수병으로 듣는 사람들이 은근 있다.
FNaF 2차 창작 팬곡 중 이 수준의 막장도를 보이는 곡으로 스프링트랩을 소재로 삼은 2015년에 등장했던 LHUGUENY의 FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S 3 THE MUSICAL가 생각난다는 반응도 있다.[12]
Tales from the Pizzaplex 시리즈 그래픽 노블 3권 발매 공개로 2권의 데이비드와 3권의 노년의 에드윈의 이미지가 공개되었는데, 관련 트윗 오렌지색 남자 아이와 안경과 중절모를 쓴 중년 남성에 오랫동안 굳어진 이미지에 팬들이 실망한 나머지 오렌지색과 중절모를 입히고 검은색으로 칠하는 트윗도 있을 정도. 2권이 2025년 9월에 발매 예정이였지만, The Mimic 챕터의 여러 논란으로 인해 취소가 되었고, 3권까지 2026년 9월로 연기되는 바람에 이 이미지도 변경될 가능성이 생겼다.
에드윈 머레이의 성우 짐 메스키먼도 이 밈을 알고있는지 My Name is Edwin 가사 부분을 처절한 방식으로 연기했다. 레딧

6.1. 제작자 관련 여담

본 곡의 작곡가 XTRATUNA은 2024년 3월 22일에 활동하기 시작했으나, 2024년 11월까지는 구독자가 40명도 안 되는 모습을 보였는데, 이 곡 하나만으로, 2만명의 구독자가 생기는 등의 엄청난 관심을 받았으며, 1년이 지난 지금은 8만명대의 구독자를 보이고 있다. 참고로 채널에 투고된 다른 노래들도 대부분 재키의 상자와 비슷하게 하나같이 나사 빠진 곡들이다.[13]

더 가관인 것은 FNaF 2를 바탕으로 만든 'Torn Alive'라는 곡으로, 노래 자체는 그냥저냥인데[14] 그림판으로 그린 보니들과 퍼플가이의 피처링 그리고 2분 44초 즈음에 뜬금없이 펀타임 프레디가 "I'm eating mother fucking bacon(난 애미뒤진 베이컨을 쳐먹고 있어)"이라는 말을 내뱉는 개그스러운 배경음의 영상이 잠깐 끼어든다... 제작자의 주장에 의하면 편집 실수라는 듯.[15][16] 오죽했으면 댓글창의 반응도 '이번 노래는 괜찮았는데 똥곡 컨셉 지키려고 저런 거 끼워넣은 거냐'라는 말이 많다.[17]

데이비드, 미믹 파트의 깨지는 음정과 이상한 가사 때문에 AI를 이용해서 만들었나 의혹이 있었지만 제작자 본인이 AI를 이용해서 만들지 않았다고 밝혔다. 이에 팬들은 "이 곡은 절대 AI로 만들었을 리가 없다. 이 정도로 구린 노래는 오직 인간만이 만들 수 있다, 미믹도 카피하지 못할것이다." 라는 반응을 보였다.

XTRATUNA의 어원은 제작자가 참치를 좋아해서, 학교에서 참치가 나올 때 항상 추가를 요청한 것에서 따온 것이다. 학교 내 별명도 Extratuna였다고 한다. 해당 인터뷰 해당 위키

[1] 다만 소설판의 내용만 다루었고, 등장인물들의 최후같은 게임과 달라진 부분도 많았기에 SOTM 2차 팬곡으로 보긴 어려워 졌다. 하지만 영향력을 상당히 끼쳐서 드립이 계속해서 나오고 있다.[2] 호불호가 심해서 좋아요 & 싫어요의 4.4:1 비율을 보이고 있으며, Album of the Year에서도 5점과 1점의 비율이 거의 1:1의 모습을 보여주고 있다.#[3] 원본은 영화 캣츠의 리뷰 중 하나로, 이 영화 또한 심각한 괴작으로 평가받는다.[4] 처음에는 팬들이 어메이징 스파이더맨 2 쿠키영상때 구스타브 피어스를 가져다쓴걸로 추정했다. 덕분에 해당영상 댓글도 관련 드립들이 달리고 있다.#[5] 데이비드는 이 사진을 쓴 것으로 추정된다.[6] 정확히는 5편의 The Storyteller 챕터(중년 시절의 에드윈)와 6편의 The Mimic 챕터(청년 시절의 에드윈)[7] 욕설을 제외하고 보더라도 거의 아무말 대잔치에 가까울 정도로 흐름이 이어지질 않는다.[8] 에코가 붙어서 에드윈이 여러 번 들린다.[9] 에드윈의 목소리다.[10] 맥락상 'I want another' 는 '아이스크림을 하나 더 달라' 는 의미지만, 뒤의 David가 붙은 걸 보면 Another David라는 팬 이론에 대한 레퍼런스인 것으로 추정된다.[11] 돌아왔다는 뜻의 back을 Jackie와 라임이 맞게 backie로 쓴 것인데, 이 가사도 좀 뜬금없다 보니 fuckin'을 그대로 해석해서 '재키가 배키를 따먹고 있다' 라는 등의 뒤틀린 농담도 조금 보이는 편(...).[12] 다만 이쪽은 가사가 문제일 뿐, 노래 자체의 퀄리티는 재키의 상자와 달리 좋은 편이다.[13] 대표적으로 17분짜리 언더테일 기반 2차 창작곡이라던가, 초반 40초를 제외하면 대략 4분 동안 코러스만 반복해서 나오는 발디의 수학교실 기반 2차 창작곡 등이 있다.[14] 전반적으로 엄청 좋은 편은 아니지만 작곡가의 이전 발표곡들에 비하면 사운드 믹싱도 훨씬 좋아졌으며 가사도 흐름이 뚝뚝 끊어지던 이전 곡들보다는 라임이 잘 맞는다는 평이 많다.[15] 사실 해당 영상이 진짜 편집 실수로 중간에 끼워넣어진 것일 가능성은 그리 크지 않은 편이다. 정말로 편집 실수로 끼워넣어진 것이라면 기존 영상과 사운드가 겹치거나 혹은 겹쳐진 클립의 분량만큼 영상과 오디오가 누락되어 재생되어야 할 텐데, 해당 영상은 노래가 중간의 영상에 의해 한번 끊긴 후 영상이 딱 끊어진 부분에서 바로 이어진다. 즉, 의도적으로 저런 이상한 짓을 했을 가능성이 더 높다.[16] 해당 영상은 Dawko가 만든 COUNT THE WAYS SONG이라는 팬곡에서 1분 29초 쯤에 펀타임 프레디가 "Now let's get talking, Little cupcake!(이제 말해보자, 작은 컵케이크야!)" 라고 말하는 부분을 개사해 부른 것이다. 결국 그 개사 버전 자체는 인터넷 상에 존재하지 않으며 해당 영상에서 처음 나온 것이기에, 편집된 가사 역시 제작자가 직접 만들었을 가능성이 높고, 그렇다면 당연히 결론은 일부러 집어넣었다는 것이 된다.[17] 일각에서는 진짜로 저퀄리티 팬곡들을 풍자하기 위해 일부러 이런 컨셉을 잡은 것이거나, 더 나아가 XTRATUNA 계정 자체가 누군가의 비밀 부계가 아닌가 추측 중이다. ~~그렇지 않고서야 이런 것들을 설마 진심으로 만들었을 리가 없다~~
