1994년 8월 16일에 발매된 프린스의 정규 15집.2. 상세
프린스와 워너 브로스의 공개적인 불화가 진행되고 있었을 때 발매했던 앨범이다. 당시 프린스는 워너 브로스와의 계약 내용을 빨리 수행하기 위해 이전에 작업했던 다수의 노래들을 사용해 여러 앨범을 기획하였다. 프린스는 Come과 The Gold Experience이 동시에 발매되기를 원했다. Come은 프린스의 이름으로, The Gold Experience는 기호(The Artist Formerly Known As Prince)로 발매하여 프린스와 기호와의 차트 경쟁을 바랬으나, 워너 브로스는 너무 많은 프린스 노래들이 차트에 동시다발적으로 있으면 이익을 보지 못할 것이라 판단해 거절했다.
