1. 개요
오키나와자동차도(오키나와도, E58)의 나들목(1번)이다. 나들목 명칭은 소재지 나하시의 명칭에서 유래하였다.오키나와도의 기점으로, 나들목 요금소는 본선요금소(TB)로 나들목 외부 접속부에서 약 300 m 정도 떨어져있다. 그런데 나들목의 입지가 나하시 동쪽 끝이다보니, 요금소 부분은 경계를 넘어가 하에바루초에 소재하고 있는 것이 특징이다.
오키나와도 기준으로는 나하시를 위한 나들목이기는 하지만, 동부 외곽지대다보니, 도심과는 거리가 다소 있는 편이다. 그나마 82번 오키나와현도 - 222번 오키나와현도 등으로 신호가 비교적 적은 편으로 연계되기는 하지만 약 15~20분 정도 소요된다. 오키나와 본섬 북부쪽에서 나하시에 접근할 때에는 북부 지역인 경우에는 오히려 니시하라IC를 통해 330번 국도 경유가 추천되는 경우도 많으며, 남부 지역이나 공항의 경우 나하공항자동차도 이용이 더 활발하다. 따라서 나하IC 이용 차량은 일 평균 10,000~15,000대 정도로 많지는 않은 편[1]이다.
외부 접속부의 경우, 82번 오키나와현도와의 교차로로 되어 있다. 이 부분은 반입체화된 구조로, 앞서 언급한 222번 오키나와현도 경유 방향인 이토만 방향은 지하차도 직결램프(나들목 진입 방향)를 통해 입체화되어 있다. 반대 방향, 즉 나하시 아자(安謝) 방향은 평면교차로로 신호 제어된다.
